ESLR Check

1. How I've been an effective learner this year is that I am learning more and more of the necessities required in film production in my service learning in ROP Film/Video Production. Everyday I would have class I would have discussions with my teacher Mr. Miller about many films and how they either succeded or failed and why. We would also discuss some history on filmmakers, actors, and films series and why they are so imortant to us today. These discussions we've had and the lessons that I've heard will help not to make the same mistakes in the future out into the real world.

2.  I have used my teachings from my service learning in ROP to help me make my films in class. I've learned that the producer is mainly responsible for the oucome of the film and that they always have to make sure that the project gets done, so yes, we even are assigned the roles of producer and we don't just stand there and do nothing we also help whoever is the director and cinematographer to make sure the film is shot right and how it was intended. The producers are sometimes also responisible to keep record and turn in a production book filled with lists of casts, crew, equipment, props, storyboards, script, and even still pictures. Everybody is required to their job and do it efficiently like director, screenwriter, cinematographer, and editor, just like out in the real film industry. So far what I've learned from my senior project is that making a film is not onlly some of the time fun to do, but it is hard work and not and easy task to do as some people may think.

3. Ways that I can improve in this ESLR, is that I need to know more information about the other jobs people in the film industry may have out in poduction and how their responsibilites affect the whole outcome of the film, so that way when I do my final presentation I can prove that film production is not a game and not something to goof off on and that everybody who has a job in production, that their responsibilties can sometimes be big as the producer jobs as well.
