10hr Service Learning Check

1.  The place I am doing my Service Learning is that I am taking the ROP Film/Video Production class after school at I-Poly on Mondays and Wednesdays 2:30-5:30.
2. What I basically do in the class is that I learn how to make a film through the usual process of development (story idea), pre-production (script writing, story boarding, story editing), production (filming), post-production (editing), and finally distribution (uploading the video on YouTube and our class website or exporting it to a DVD. We also learn how do our several jobs efficiently such as script writer, stortyboard artists, director, producer, cinematographer, and editor.

3. The most important thing I learned so far while in ROP is that everybody MUST work together and make sure the job gets done on time.  Making sure the job gets done is mainly a responsibility of the producer(s)  but everybody MUST know how to do their job and one mistake may harmfully affect the videos we make, so we cannot make any mistakes or mess anything up that can ruin our video that would eventually lead us to re-edit, re-distribute, or unfortunately have to film again or get a poor grade on. This helps us closely relate our class to the real world Film and Television industry.
